Art: Fragileness of Perspective by Ugne Spudyte

Terence Crutcher

Say his name.
Say his name out loud.
Say his name
Like a whisper to a crowd.
Say his name
While looking into your own eyes.
Say it to your mother
As you murmur your goodbyes.
Say it to your legislature.
Show them you refuse to waiver.
Say it to your neighbor.
Remind them love is labor.
“Love is labor.”

Art: Fragileness of Perspective by Ugne Spudyte

In the artist’s words:

I am an art student from Ipswich, just turned 20. I more of a painter, but glass sculpting is a passion I can’t live without, I visualise my thoughts into vivid images through glass and paint; it’s like writing a poem, not everybody will be understand, but once understood it sticks I believe. I grew up in Lithuania with my great-grandma, I been creating art ever since I had learned how to hold a paintbrush. I am very interested in conceptions, formation and profound meanings of things. ‘’Fragileness of Perspective’’ is a new piece, I finished it only two weeks ago, not many people have seen it yet (apart from my teachers). It is about foolishness we hold in our own perception, seeing a circle, which is always the same in this dimension, but understanding in moving fluctuation. At the same time, I found it brilliant. How we can create perspectives. This is my sculpture is a circle with angles, shapes. I am very abstract artist, but also enjoy Surrealism and creative writing.
