In the artist’s words:
Sandy Songer. My husband and I make and sell chainsaw carvings in a small southeast Oklahoma town. Although I have always been interested in photography, the hobby of hiking turned that interest into a passion. My images are inspired my God’s beautiful creation; it grabs my attention, makes me want to capture it with my camera, and share it with the world. There are so many people that don’t get to be out there enjoying nature. I am especially attracted to water, as we grew up at the lake, barns (my mother loved old barns), and sunsets: every one is different.
While most of my images are from our local state park and national forest areas, we travel with our business and hiking so I am able to get pictures in other states. I have images from Oklahoma, Colorado, Arkansas, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Oregon.
I have one photo that received awards in an international competition and am currently teamed up with an interior decorator that helps design cabins in a local tourist area.
Beautiful images!
